FCA is extremely pleased to announce the addition of two staff members to the FCA Elementary teaching team - Dana Budovitch and Summer Worden Gillett.
Born and raised on the north side of Fredericton, NB, Dana Budovitch has always had a love for his hometown. He enjoys the “big city feel” of the culture and arts scene while equally enjoying quaint, quiet evening strolls on the walking bridge and around town and the friendly faces! Mr. Budovitch has many interests and passions such as music, playing drums, photography, running, biking, a vegetarian lifestyle and most importantly, a follower of Christ.
After earning teaching degrees at Bethany Bible College (now Kingswood University) in 2008 and University of Maine Presque Isle 2010, he spent two years supply teaching in the Fredericton area. In 2013-14 he did a one year stint overseas with the English Program in Korea (EPIK), loving his time there and taking the opportunity to travel Southeast Asia. Upon his return Dana worked for his family's’ business, Ed Bud’s Sales Ltd., both as office assistant and delivery driver. Dana’s employment has also included part-time work for a local videography and photography company, Nick Wilson Videography.
Dana is looking forward to being back in a teaching position. “I’m ecstatic when thinking about being back in the classroom! I love being around students and find so much fulfillment in seeing them achieving academically!”
Summer Worden Gillett has been teaching in public schools for the last 4 years. Her placements include teaching in Anglophone West, Moncton N.B, and Melbourne, Australia. Prior to teaching, she also has several years experience working at Camp Tulakadik, Circle Square Ranch, and Little Seeds Learning Center.
Summer graduated from Crandall University in 2011 with a B.A. in Sociology, Minor in Biblical Studies, and Minor in Biology, she also graduated with a B.Ed. in Elementary Education (with a focus on K-8) in 2012 from Crandall University, and in the summer of 2016 she completed her Masters of Education from the University of New Brunswick. She is currently working on her second masters, in Counselling Psychology. We are very excited to welcome Summer to the FCA team
